Fleet Moves Dance Festival
Presented by the Movement Party, in partnership with Wellfleet Preservation Hall, Fleet Moves was a site-specific dance festival created for the town of Wellfleet, MA. For five consecutive summers, Fleet Moves assembled a team of visiting and local artists who converged for a program of multi-generational dance workshops, sensory walks, and custom-made performances inspired by the history, culture, and landscape of Wellfleet. In dialogue with Wellfleet’s overlapping summer and year-round communities, its rich history and maritime lore, and its thriving surfing and skateboarding scenes, Fleet Moves provided a rich performance experience that sought to build upon and collaborate with movement practices, techniques, and systems already active in Wellfleet.
