Washashore

What has happened here? What might have happened here? What are the resonances of past actions that can be felt presently?

Washashore is a speculative, achronological history of bodily actions that have transpired on the dunes of White Crest Beach. Dancers evoke generations of bodies that have struggled, searched, embraced, played, and rested—often moving between pleasure and calamity.

Performers: Zena Bibler, Sara Gurevich, Katie Schetlick, Anne Zuerner, Brandin Steffensen, Emma Hoette, Mikey Rioux. Lighting and sound by Meredith Bellis and Andy Shumaker.

Performed in July 9, 2013 at White Crest Beach in Wellfleet, MA as part of Fleet Moves 2013.
